What are the benefits to being in SGA?
How can I get involved in UA - Pulaski Tech's Student Government Association?
SGA holds open meetings on a regular basis throughout the academic school year. Any UA - Pulaski Tech student, faculty, staff member is welcome to attend. To be a voting member, a student must be an At Large Representative or Recognized Student Organization Representative. The election of SGA At Large Representatives take place during the fall semester. Students interested in applying must complete a Petition for Candidacy by the specified deadline. Students must maintain a GPA of 2.5, be in good financial standing with the College, and must have no record of student code of conduct violations. Petitions for Candidacy are available at the Campus Center Information Desk and Student Services Office at the South Campus at the start of the Fall semester until the Petition for Candidacy deadline.
All qualified candidates, who complete the Petition for Candidacy, will be notified by the SGA Advisor concerning election details. In the event there are fewer candidates than At-Large seats, an election will be deemed unnecessary, and qualified candidates will be declared members. If there are more qualified candidates than available seats, an official election will take place.
The election of Student Government Executive Officers shall be held during the fall semester. Nominations will come from within the current membership of the SGA.
