WHAT IS FUTURE FIT?

Future Fit is a program designed to enhance technical skills for individuals who seek a career in advanced manufacturing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Future Fit provides the training to obtain the skills needed to be competitive when looking for entry-level employment in the field of manufacturing regardless of your job history.

Participants can expect the following:

• Combination of instructor-led, hands-on, video, and online instruction
• Support from a learning coach
• Regular deadlines will be outlined
• Opportunity to become OSHA 10 certified
• Interviews with industry partners
• Smart resume

Although there is no guarantee of employment, participants should be actively seeking and willing to consider full-time job opportunities in the field of manufacturing at the conclusion of the training.

INTERVIEWS WITH INDUSTRY PARTNERS

Interviews with industry partners will be held with the following partners:

• Caterpillar
• Dassault Falcon Jet
• Democrat Printing and Lithographing Co
• Global Manufacturing
• Lexicon
• L’Oreal
• PPG
• Ring Container
• Seal Solar

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Classes are held weekly at the UA-PTC Business and Industry Center
• Classes and events will take place at the following:
  • 8 week program - Jan. 31 - March 23 on Monday and Wednesday, 6-10 p.m.
  • Career Fair - date and time to be announced
    
  • Interviews with Industry Partners - date and time to be announced
• Up to 16 participants will be accepted into the program

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

• GED/ High School diploma
• Career Readiness Certificate
• Reliable Internet/Computer access

COST

Applicants accepted into the program receive full-tuition scholarships through the Office of Skills Development.
