UA-PTC Learning Assistance Center Mission Statement

The mission of the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) is to provide students the support and services needed to achieve their educational goals at UA - Pulaski Tech.

Free Tutoring Services

The LAC offers free tutoring assistance for currently enrolled students online and in-person when the college is open at the Main Campus and at the Little Rock-South site.

About Our Tutors

The LAC has two different types of tutors that assist students:

Peer Tutors - These tutors are UA-PTC students who excel in their coursework, possess skills and qualities that make them ideal helpers, and have been recommended by UA-PTC faculty as demonstrating superior subject knowledge. Peer Tutors are well-suited to offer support because they have recently taken many of the same classes that you are in now. This makes them uniquely qualified. Tutors want to develop active, independent learners in the students with whom they work. If you are interested in becoming a peer tutor, visit or contact the LAC.

Professional Tutors - These are tutors who have bachelors or masters degrees in the subjects in which they tutor. They are also available daily in the LAC.

Computer Labs

For any enrolled student, the LAC provides open computer labs at the Main Campus, Campus Center Building, Room 308 and at Little Rock - South, Room 222 that offers access to Microsoft based software, Blackboard, MyLabs Plus, JAWS Screen Reader, E-mail and Internet access.
