UA-PTC Student

The UA - Pulaski Technical College JAG College Success Program is designed to assist students in addressing academic and non-academic barriers to college success. Students working with the program will learn to set achievable goals, find community resources to resolve personal life circumstances interfering with their academic performance, and develop life skills that will carry them into the future.

In partnership with Jobs for Arkansas Graduates, the UA - Pulaski Technical College JAG College Success program is dedicated to helping newly enrolling students make a successful transition from high school to college and supporting them through graduation. The program will also serve current students who need support in achieving their academic and career goals.

Benefits of the program students can expect:

  • Case management
  • Address barriers to college and career success
  • Referrals to appropriate campus and community resources and organizations
  • Career exploration and planning
  • Support in setting and meeting academic and career goals
  • Seminars/Workshops on money management, time management, test taking, study skills, and enrollment processes
  • Academic accountability
  • Post-graduation plan

Who should participate?

  • Students who participated in a JAG national high school program.
  • Students needing help navigating enrollment and other application processes.
  • Current UA-PTC students who may be struggling academically and need extra support with accountability.
  • Students needing information regarding campus and community resources to support their academic and non-academic needs.
  • Students falling into the special populations categories of homeless and those who experienced/aged out of foster care.
