Educational and Career Coaching: Each STEM Success student partners with a Success Coach to ensure the student is on the academic path best suited for their career goals. Each Success Coach works to assist students in developing a personal academic plan and success strategy to define and address specific career, educational and life goals.
Support Services: STEM Success Coaches work with students to identify barriers to success and refer students as needed to campus and community resources. The STEM Success program also offers group mentoring, a social belonging workshop series and life skills training.
Tutoring Services: Students are given the opportunity to work with knowledgeable tutors in various STEM related subject areas to help them succeed in their studies.
Use of the STEM Success Computer Lab: STEM Success students have access to both Apple and PC computers to complete academic and career related tasks.
Transfer Visits: STEM Success students endeavoring to transfer to 4-yr institutions have the opportunity to visit colleges in the area with a STEM Success Coach, who is there to provide feedback and support.
Workshops: STEM Success students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of academic, career and personal workshops. Workshops are geared to topics relevant to student success.
