Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Wednesday, March 11 that all out-of-state travel for all state agency employees has been suspended for sixty (60) days. This travel restriction is for all state government agencies, including employees of UA – Pulaski Tech.
The governor’s decision comes in response to the first “presumptive” confirmation of COVID-19 in the state in Pine Bluff. Read more about the governor’s announcement.
No determination has been made cancel non-travel-related college activities or to move classes online at this time, but the college is prepared to do so if, in consultation and collaboration with the Governor’s office, Arkansas Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control, and UA System Administration, it is determined that such measures are in the public interest. The college will not make this decision unilaterally, but all of the above agencies are focused on keeping our community as safe and healthy as possible.
