Provide access to high-quality, life-long learning, and career opportunities through a variety of educational offerings, including certificate and degree programs, short-term industry-specific training, and community education.

Welcome to the School of Technical and Professional Studies at UA – Pulaski Tech!

The School, known as “SoTaPS,” is in the business of providing access and opportunity to students, employers, and community members. And whether you are enrolled in a community education class, an industry-specific training seminar, or in one of our many certificates and degree programs, you will experience an environment of support, inclusion, collaboration, and life-long learning.

High-wage, high-demand jobs are plentiful in central Arkansas, and SoTaPS offers pathways to those good careers, with faculty, curriculum, and facilities that are all geared toward relevancy and student success. The School includes five primary functional areas, including:

  • Workforce Development and Community Education
  • Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute
  • Business and Information Technology
  • Technical Sciences

Within each of these areas, dedicated faculty and staff work very hard to make sure that students experience a culture of discovery, learn how to think critically, learn how to solve problems, and gain a broader worldview as a result of their time at UA-PTC.
