Compensation for state agencies and institutions of higher education classified employees (non-contract) are set forth under the Uniform Classification and Compensation Act. The classified employee pay plan is authorized every two years by the state legislature and implementation procedures established on a fiscal year basis by the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State when authorized.
