UA-PTC Professional Development Institute Mission Statement
The mission of the Professional Development Institute (PDI) is improve student achievement through the professional growth of University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College employees via high-quality, timely, and cost-effective professional development opportunities that support the institution’s strategic goals. PDI does this by delivering face-to-face and online programs facilitated by internal and external partners, and by seeking continual feedback from subject matter experts and other stakeholders. These opportunities are designed to promote more effective teaching and learning, to explore current research in education, especially in the two-year college setting, and to foster personal and professional growth.
About
PDI provides and promotes professional development activities for UA-PTC faculty and staff. These events are advertised through campus e-mail, and listed in PDI LibGuide (Upcoming PD). Events are offered in a variety of formats. PDI is located in IT206, the Center for Teaching Excellence, on the Main Campus. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The past 2 years of PD Week events and some other trainings are located in the PDI Archives.
