The UA-PTC Career Pathways Initiative Program is a work based program designed to help non-traditional students overcome barriers that too often keep them from being successful and unable to support their families. Funding is provided by Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), a federal grant through the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services and administered by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.

CPI’s program objectives are:

• Increased enrollment in two-year college certificate and associate degree programs
• Increased attainment of two-year college certificates and associate degrees
• Increased job attainment and job retention in good paying, high demand jobs in the local area

Program Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for CPI, participants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• A custodial parent with a child living in their home under the age of 21
• A current or former TEA/SNAP/Medicaid adult recipient whose gross income is less than 250% FPL (Federal Poverty Level)
• A resident of Arkansas
• No felony drug convictions
